Box pleats sewn in on a 36-oz. permanently flame resistant vinyl-coated polyester backing strip, with a large brass grommet in the center of each pleat. Always at least 50% fullness in each curtain, with a 6” pleat on 12” centers. Special pleating available if desired, and more than 50% fullness if specified. S-hooks and tie-lines are always furnished as standard.

All cut edges are overcast. All selvages are trimmed off. All seams are overcast. Extra material is sent with each curtain for future repairs. The center of each valance is identified for ease in installing. Every curtain is tabled for inspection of seams, hems, workmanship and correct size. Each curtain is individually wrapped and packed in a heavy corrugated carton, after being wrapped in a heavy plastic bag to prevent water damage during shipment. All velour curtains are cushioned at the folds by plastic foam to reduce the temporary creasing caused by folding. Every effort is made in packing to get the shipment to you in good condition, without damage.

Any kind of material specified is available. Our inspection standards for materials are rigorous, to insure customer satisfaction with the superb quality of our curtains.

Each curtain is labeled with flame resistant information, and each curtain is either treated to be flame resistant by immersion, or permanently and inherently flame resistant. A certificate can be furnished if requested.

Weighted flexible bottom hems, to provide the required weight, allow for pleats to flow through, and eliminate all the problems caused by bulky, rusting chains that wear through hems. Our bottom hems are smooth and stackable and stay that way, because each individual galvanized steel weight is encased in its own individual pocket within an electronically welded strip of pockets inside the bottom hem. Lead weights, asbestos of any kind, or common burlap or jute is never used in Custom curtains.
